If you are going to Harpoon a large pelagic fish then you are going to need a basket and polyball "End game" setup.

Don't make the common mistake of using a short length of line and then cleaning it off to your boat. The fish will likely run and when it hits the end will either rip the dart out or rip your cleat off.

Our recommendation is 100' of 5-16" rope with custom Braided loops at each end attached to a 11" X 15" A-1 poly ball float that fIts neatly inside our milk crate.
